Puzzles, Characters, and More Screenshots

Another week, another update. Another chunk of the game is functional. I'm really taking my time with it to give the puzzles the right balance of difficulty without being tedious.  As you can probably tell from the accompanied screenshots, one of the puzzles involves a vending machine. This was fun to make and I hope to incorporate more puzzles like it into the game.

I've also decided that I really want to focus on making the characters interesting. From the main character, to the supporting cast and background NPC's, I want each one to feel like they're coming from their own distinct background.  I also want to concentrate on melding the backgrounds, characters, and inventory items. A lot of times in adventure games, the inventory items and background/scene can feel disjointed. This usually happens in the interest of preventing the game from being too boring or predictable. I'm really trying to avoid doing this, while keeping the game fun but still relatable.

Anyway, enjoy these cool screenshots from the upcoming mystery adventure Byte-Sized Betrayal!
